Swimphi provides private lessons designed to assist swimmers on the High School Swim Team. High school swimming seasons usually commence in September or October and conclude around March or April.
Participants will receive additional coaching on essential aspects such as proper breathing, turns, and race strategy. For optimal preparation, we recommend starting training in November, providing a four-month practice window before the High School Swimming finals commence in March/April.

Private lessons are invaluable for high school swimmers aiming to elevate their performance on the swim team. Here are a few key reasons why:
Correcting Technique: Even strong swimmers often have technique flaws that limit their speed and efficiency. Private lessons offer personalized, detailed attention, allowing a coach to identify and correct specific issues, from stroke mechanics to breathing techniques. Improved form not only enhances performance but also reduces the risk of injuries.
Making Up for Lost Time: Swimmers returning after a break or recovering from an injury may struggle to regain their previous level of skill and stamina. Private lessons provide a customized approach to help them rebuild strength, flexibility, and confidence at a pace suited to their individual needs.
Building Mental Confidence: High school swimming is often competitive and demanding. Private sessions give athletes a low-pressure environment where they can focus on self-improvement. This individualized setting allows swimmers to work through mental barriers, set personal goals, and develop the self-assurance they need to excel on race day.
Targeting Specific Skills: Every swimmer has unique strengths and weaknesses. Private lessons let coaches work closely with athletes to target specific areas that need improvement, whether it’s starts and turns, underwater work, or endurance training. This tailored focus helps swimmers achieve noticeable gains that directly benefit their team performance.
Faster Progression: Group practices are often focused on building team cohesion and covering general training. Private lessons, however, are entirely focused on the individual’s growth, allowing for a faster progression in skill level and enabling swimmers to reach their peak potential sooner.
By addressing these areas, private lessons give high school swimmers the support they need to improve consistently, helping them become not only more skilled swimmers but also more confident, resilient team members.
